Aloha WE Ohana, All HIDOE schools and offices will be closed on Monday, Feb. 9

Following Gov. Josh Green’s announcement Sunday regarding severe weather conditions impacting the state, and in alignment with his directive, the Hawaiʻi State Department of Education will implement the closure of all public schools and HIDOE offices statewide on Monday, Feb. 9, due to current storm conditions. The DOE will continue to monitor conditions in coordination with state and emergency management officials.

Aloha, due to Teacher participation in the HSTA's Institute Day, there will be no school for students on Monday, February 6th.

Thank you for your patience and flexibility during today’s school closure caused by a water main break.

We are pleased to inform you that water service has been fully restored and Wheeler Elementary School will reopen tomorrow (Tuesday, February 3, 2026) with a normal schedule.
