WHEELER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL's PTSO

 

Welcome to the PTSO!

 

What is the PTSO?

PTSO is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization of parents, teachers, and students to help foster an excellent educational environment at Major Sheldon Wheeler Elementary School.

 

 

Purpose:

-Enhance and support the educational experience at Wheeler Elementary.

-Develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement.

-Support the educational environment.

 

 

Membership:

Membership shall be granted to all parents and guardians of Wheeler Elementary School students, plus all staff of Wheeler Elementary School.  There are no membership dues.  Members have voting privileges, one vote per household.

 

 

Meetings:

Monthly meetings are normally held the first Wednesday of every month (virtual meetings).

 

 

Volunteer Opportunities include:
-Creating bulletin boards.
-Packaging candy bags for fundraisers.
-Planning Family events.
-Compiling informational documents.
-Designing art projects.
-Brainstorming ideas and providing input to educational programs.
-Assisting teachers with administrative tasks.
