November 7, Wear Purple for the NORBERT Hawai'i Team Visit Wheeler is a Purple Star NORBERT Hawaiʻi Award Nominee. The Purple Star NORBERT Hawaiʻi Award recognizes schools that show a major commitment to students and families connected to our nation’s military. Wheeler Elementary is being considered for this state and national recognition for supporting our military families. To show our school pride and support let’s all WEAR PURPLE on Tuesday, November 7th.

Food Fight Collection Drive - Nov 1 - 17 Please help us collect canned goods for the YMCA Food Pantry. WE are competing against Solomon and Daniel K Inouye Elementary to collect the most canned goods and other non-perishables for our families in need. Let's all participate the best we can!

School Spirit Week 10/30 - 11/03 WE encourage all of our students to participate in School Spirit Week. Monday is Crazy Hair Day. Tuesday is Costume Day. Wednesday is Sports Day. Thursday is Mix and Match Day and finally, Friday is Pajama Day!

Mike and Sulley Day - Friday, October 6th In preparation for our Movie Night featuring Monsters Inc. we will be encouraging the grade levels to dress in Green for Sulley and Blue for Mike Wazowski. Grades K-2 students are encouraged to wear green and Grades 3-5 are encouraged to wear blue. Let's see which grade levels have the best participation! Will it be team green or team blue?

The challenge was based on active participation of students enrolled and total minutes read and books logged in relation to total participants.
